Belgium
New Director, Jean-Pierre Frère writes, “Pray for my
integration into the SU team in Brussels. I already know
some of the volunteers but have not yet met all of them. I
am now in a training period and will start effectively on
the 1st July.”
Germany
We thank God for requests to hold Children’s Holiday
Missions and Seminars Children’s Ministries. After one
Children’s Mission Week, a church leader wrote, „ We were
all enriched from the wonderful week. Each of the 110
children in attendance, now come to the weekly Bible Club
Latvia
It’s summer again! Camps season! Please pray for the camps
in Latvia. Pray for the children and teenagers who will come
to the camps. We appreciate your prayers for the hearts of
the young generation in Latvia. We hope that some of those
camp participants will become camp leaders. Please pray for
the main leaders of the camp –Sanita, Evija, Ligita and
Anita. Pray for a unity of spirit between the leaders and
wisdom, strength and love for the children and teenagers.
Please pray for our new camp host Guntis. He has lot of
things to do to prepare the campsite for this season.
Lithuania
Pray for the board members who are working hard to be able
continue the work of SU in Lithuania despite the absence of
a National Leader: Chairperson: Jelizaveta (Eliza) Sivec,
Vice-chair: Klaidas Ivaskevicius, Secretary: Dalija
Gudliauskiene, Treasurer: Vytautas Gocentas, Members: Nijole
Baltruniene, Saida Ronkiene and Ruta Dubakaite.
Poland
Our main focus this quarter will be on holding and
developing the Holiday Bible Club Programme “Indian Village”
and ASG mission. We will also be busy with presentation in
churches and organizations. It is our prayer that this time
will be used most effectively and helps churches to use SU
Poland tools
Spain
Pray for a smooth transition as our new General Secretary,
Paco Mega, takes over from Pedro Puigvert, who retiresin
September Paco will need to combine his role in Unión
Bíblica with pastoral duties at his local church in
Barcelona. Pray for this changeover that, as well as
maintaining continuity, it will bring about fresh ideas
regarding promotion and the development of SU ministries.
French-speaking Switzerland
We praise the Lord for the children, young people and adults
who attended one of our 20 camps. They enjoyed friendship,
relaxing times and times set apart to listen to the Word of
God. Let us pray that what they discovered during the camp
would give them the desire to go on walking with the Lord.
